Notice is hereby given that National Highways Limited has made an Order on the M25 Motorway in the County of Essex under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road. The effect of the Order is to authorise the overnight phased closure of:-
1. the anti-clockwise carriageway of the M25 between the tip of the nosing of the exit link road at Junction 27 (M11 Junction 6) and the tip of the nosing of the entry slip road at Junction 26 (A121);
2. all the slip/link roads leading to and from this length of carriageway; and
3. the link road connecting the southbound carriageway of the M11 to the clockwise carriageway of the M25 at Junction 6(M25 Junction 27).
These measures will be in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake bridge, geotechnical, carriageway, drainage, electrical, communication, barrier, vegetation clearance and all associated works.
It is expected that the work will last for approximately 6 months starting on or after Saturday 6th August 2022. The overnight closures will take place between 20:00 and 08:00 (maximum periods).
The Order will come into force on 5th August 2022 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months, ceasing when the works are complete.
Traffic affected by the closures will be diverted via other junctions on the M25 and the M11 and by using the A406 and the A10.
The temporary closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
