(Avenue Street, High Shincliffe) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022

The Council on 22/7/22 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on 135 metres of Avenue Street that extends from the A177 to the junctions with Ancroft Garth and Park House Road, High Shincliffe to enable carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken. Alternative route from the western side of the closure from A177 northerly and turning easterly to High Street leading to Heathways and Whitwell Acres and to Avenue Street to the eastern side of the closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 29/7/22 and are anticipated to be completed in 3 days. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
