(Bonnington Road & Craigerne Lane, Peebles) (Temporary Closing) Order 2022

The Scottish Borders Council (Bonnington Road & Craigerne Lane, Peebles) (Temporary Closing) Order 2022 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 4 August 2022 and is expected to remain in effect until 19 September 2022 as detailed below. The Order is required for the installation of a new water main. When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Bonnington Road and Craigerne Lane, Peebles as follows:

(a) Closures 1 and 2: Bonnington Road, Peebles from Springwood Road to Craigerne Lane from 08:00 on 4 August to 17:00 on 24 August 2022. The alternative route for northbound traffic is via Craigerne Lane, Edderston Road, Caledonian Road, Kingsmeadows Road, Springhill Road and Springwood Road to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing; and

(b) Closures 3 and 4: Craigerne Lane, Peebles from Bonnington Road to right

of way to Morninghill from 08:00 on 25 August to 17:00 on 19 September 2022. The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via Craigerne Lane, Edderston Road, Caledonian Road, Kingsmeadows Road, Springhill Road, Springwood Road and Bonnington Road to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
