Somerset County Council District of Sedgemoor Parishes of Cossington, Chilton Polden and Bawdrip Temporary Closure of Bath Road and Chilton Polden Hill

Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Bath Road - from 200 metres east of the junction with Woolavlngton HIM, south eastwards, Incorporating Chilton Polden Hill, for a total distance of 2030 metres. This Order will enable SCC Small Improvement Schemes to carry out High friction surfacing, lining, road markings and other associated works.

The Order becomes effective on 9th August 2022 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 15th August 2022 and last until 20th August 2022 between the hours of 19:00 - 06:30 for a total of 5 nights. Please visit
