The Borough Of Watford (Market Street, Watford) Order 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Watford Borough Council, acting as agents for Hertfordshire County Council has made the above-mentioned Order pursuant to arrangements made under Section 19 of the Local Government Act 2000 and the Local Government (Arrangements for Discharge of Functions) (England) Regulations 2000 with the Hertfordshire County Council, and in exercise of the powers conferred on that County under Sections 1,2,3, 32, 38, 61, 64 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (referred to as "the Act") and all other enabling powers. The order will come into effect on 22nd July 2022 and will amend the waiting restrictions on street as follows:

(a) Convert Bus Stop "G" located adjacent to NatWest Bank to No Waiting at Any Time except Taxis, for 24 metres.

(b) Convert the Bus Stand located outside 13-21 to a Bus Stop Clearway.

(c) Reduce the Existing loading bay outside 23-25 by 2 metres in length to allow for the extension of bus stop cage

(d) Introduce No Waiting & No Loading at Any Time restrictions at the junction of High Street & Market Street.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order, or of any of the provisions contained in them, on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Orders, may within 6 weeks of the date of this Notice apply to the High Court for this purpose.
