Wiltshire, Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Road Closure

Section 14(1) Of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Park Road (Part), Trowbridge; from its junction with Silver Street for a distance of approximately 40m in a southerly direction to enable LTS Traffic Management to carry out building maintenance and associated works. No alternative route available. This Order will come into operation on 30 July 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 for 1 day. B) Norrington Lane (Part), Melksham Without and Broughton Gifford; from its junction with A365, Melksham without for a distance of approximately 440m in a southerly direction to enable Energy Assets Networks Ltd to carry out excavation of carriageway to install 33kv cables and other associated works. Alternative route via A365 - Bradford Road - C212 - Norrington Gate - Norrington Lane (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 28 July 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:30 and 17:30 until 26 August 2022. C) C155 (Part), Lacock; from its junction with Rosemary Lane for a distance of approximately 190 in a westerly direction to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out bridge and associated works. Alternative route via C155 (unaffected length) - C163 - C150 - A350 - C155 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 25 July 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 for 5 days. D) Boswell Road, Westwood, Bradford on Avon; from its junction with Lower Westwood Road for its entire length. E) Hebden Road, Westwood, Bradford on Avon; from its junction with Boswell Road for its entire length to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing, patching works, road marking and adjustment of ironworks. No alternative route is available; access to school maintained where possible. This Order which previously came into operation on 06 April 2021 will now recommence on 25 July 2022 and the closures will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 for 3 days.

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to temporarily introduce a 30mph speed restriction on the following length of road: F) A365 (Part), Atworth and Box; from its junction with Neston Road, Atworth to its junction with Wadswick, Box to enable Utility Distribution Networks Ltd. to carry out excavation of the road to install a dual x33kv electrical circuit along with fibre on behalf of Ark Data Centre. This speed limit restrictions will come into operation on 28 July 2022 and will be required until 26 August 2022. Orders A) to C) and F) will have a maximum duration of 18 months, Orders D) and e) has a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.

It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
