Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 -Section 14 The A1(M) Motorway (Junction 57 To Junction 58) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited intends to make an Order on the A1(M) Motorway, in the Unitary Authority of Darlington, to enable loop cutting works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to start on Wednesday 17 August 2022 for 1 night, or until completed, and will take place between 8pm and 6am. The effect of the Order will be to close,
the A1(M):
(i) northbound exit slip road at Junction 58 (Burtree Interchange); and

(ii) northbound carriageway from its diverge

with the A66(M) at Junction 57 (Blackwell
Spur) to the entry slip road at Junction 58,
a distance of 7450 metres. During the closures suitably signed alternative routes will be available. Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibitions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes).
