(Micro Asphalting Programme 2022 -Various Roads, County Durham) (Temporary Road Closure) Order Number 2 2022

The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on the following lengths of road:

Temporary Road Closures: Cooperative Street, Chester-le-Street; The Green, Murray Road, Murray Place, Alpine Court, Chester-le-Street; Sixth Avenue, The Avenue (Back), Chester-le-street; Ashkirk Close, Redesdale Road, Chester-le-Street; Derwentside Avenue, Leven Avenue, Chester-le-Street; The Dene, Denesyde, Denecrest, Consett; Tunstall Grove, Wear Avenue, Wansbeck Grove, Derwent Crescent, Skerne Grove, Tees Grove, Leadgate; Rogerley Terrace, Kirkfield Gardens, Catchgate; Riding Hill Road South, Harperley Road, West Kyo; Allison Gardens, Allison Street, Consett; Ramsay Terrace, Percy Gardens, Delves Lane; Shafto Close, Delves Lane; The Green, Ugly Lane, Nettlesworth; Briarwood Avenue, Fell Road, Ferndene Avenue, Pelton Fell; Newhouse Avenue, Esh Winning; Springfield Park, Durham; St Nicholas Drive, Durham; Ellam Avenue, Geoffrey Avenue, Nevilles Cross, Durham; Romney Drive, Filby Drive, Gilesgate; Braunespath Estate, Doric Road, New Brancepath; Park House Gardens, Sherburn; Carville Terrace, Watling Terrace, Willington; Coleridge Close, South Street, South Street (rear), Masefield Crescent, Rockingham Road, Willington; Bamburgh Road, Wittan Road, Ferryhill; Ruby Avenue/ Jade Walk, Cragside/ Emerald Walk, Chilton; Cleveland Avenue, Glaisdale Gardens, Shildon; Moore Lane, Gunn Lane, Swan Walk, Mellanby Crescent, Kenny Walk, Newton Aycliffe; Witton Way, High Etherley; Surtees Street, Hexam Street, Bishop Aukland; Town Pasture Lane, Roman Road A688, Barnard Castle; Woodlands Road, Cleveland Road, Barnard Castle; Academy Gardens, Gainford; Beechfield Rise, Coxhoe; Browning Hill, Coxhoe; Passfield Square, Thornley; Avon Street (Side), Tower Street, Allen Street/ Ayre Street, Anthony Street (Rear), Easington Colliery; Keir Hardie, Shotton Colliery; A J Cook Terrace, Bruce Glasier Terrace, Salters Lane, William Morris Terrace, Shotton Colliery; Stockton Road, Low Road, High Street, Shincliffe to enable carriageway micro-asphalting surfacing works to be undertaken. Alternative routes will be signed on site where available. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 1/8/22 and are anticipated to be completed in approximately 3 months. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
