(Unclassified 34.5 Newfield) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022

The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on 310 metres of Unclassified road 34.5 that extends north westward from Binchester Crag Farm and The Cottage, Newfield to enable carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken. Alternative route from the south eastern side of the closure from Unclassified road 34.4 leading north eastwards to Long Lane then north west on Long Lane and turning west onto Primrose Hill to the junction with Unclassified 34.5 in Newfield to the north western side of the closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 7/8/22 from 7am to 7pm daily and are anticipated to be completed in 3 days. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
