Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Notice is hereby given that, in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, the Council intends to make Orders under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Admirals Rd (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2022
The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Admirals Rd from its jct. with Chaffinch Cl to its jct. with Mallard Ln. The Order will be effective from 30th August 2022 for 2 weeks, between 9:30am & 3:30pm, as & when signed on site. The alternative route will be via Admirals Rd, Ordnance Ave & Admirals Rd. The closure is required to carry out carriageway resurfacing & road markings as part of a traffic signal upgrade. Ref: High/2347

Cann Ln South, Appleton (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2022
The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Cann Ln South from its jct. with Old Pewterspear Ln in a southerly direction to the end of the carriageway. The Order will be effective from 15th August 2022 for 1 week, between 9:30am & 3:30pm, as & when signed on site. The closure is required to allow Scottish Power to carry out customer connection work. Sandy Ln (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2022
The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Sandy Ln from its jct. with Howson Rd to its jct. with Crowe Ave. The Order will be effective from 22nd August 2022 for 1 day, between 9:30am & 3:30pm, as & when signed on site. The alternative route will be via Howson Rd, Poplars Ave, Cleveland Rd & vice versa. The closure is required to allow British Telecom to renew a telecom pole. Ref: High/2366

The effect of which will be to introduce the following: 20mph Speed Limit Restriction: A56 Chester Rd from the Borough Boundary with Halton to its jct.'s with Old Chester Rd/ Runcorn Rd; 30mph Speed Limit Restriction: Daresbury Ln from its jct. with Warrington Rd to the Borough Boundary with Halton; Prohibition of Driving: Entire lengths or road: Hatton Ln; Underbridge Ln; Warrington Rd; Daresbury Ln from its jct. with Warrington Rd to the Borough Boundary with Halton; Hobb Ln from its jct. with the A56 Chester Rd to the Borough Boundary with Halton; Holly Hedge Ln from its jct. with the A56 Chester Rd to its jct. with Runcorn Rd; Old Chester Rd from its northerly jct. with the A56 Chester Rd to its jct. with Walton Lea Rd; Park Ln from its jct. with the A56 Chester Rd to its jct. with Warrington Rd; Prohibition of U-Turn: Chester Rd - To prohibit all vehicles proceeding in either direction on Chester Rd between the Borough Boundary with Halton to its jct.'s with Old Chester Rd/Runcorn Rd from making a U-turn so as to proceed in the opposite direction as the case may be; Clearway: Entire lengths of road: Hatton Ln; Holly Hedge Ln; Pillmoss Ln; Underbridge Ln; Warrington Rd; Daresbury Ln from its jct. with Warrington Rd to the Borough Boundary with Halton; Hobb Ln from its jct. with the A56 Chester Rd to the Borough Boundary with Halton; Park Ln from its jct. with the A56 Chester Rd to its jct. with Warrington Rd; Runcorn Rd from its jct. with the A56 Chester Rd to its jct. with Hobb Ln; Footpath Closure: Hatton Footpath No.12 from its jct. with Hatton Ln to its jct. with Gosling Cl. The Order will be effective from Thursday 25th August 2022 for 5 days, as & when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the Event Organiser for the duration of the works. Temporary diversion signs will be erected on site detailing the associated alternative routes for the duration of the works. The temporary restrictions are required to facilitate the Creamfields Music Festival. Ref: High/2362

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Hallfields Rd passageway rear of 87 to 103 between its jct. with Hallows Ave & its jct. with St Margarets Ave. The Order will be effective from 29th August 2022 for 1 week, as & when signed on site. The alternative route will be via Hallows Ave, Hallfields Rd, St Margarets Ave & vice versa. The closure is required to allow for United Utilities to carry out sewer repairs. Ref: High/2363

Hamsterley Cl, Birchwood (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2022
The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Hamsterley Cl outside property numbers 6 to 10. The Order will be effective from 8th August 2022 for 2 weeks, between 9am & 3pm, as & when signed on site. The closure is required to allow for United Utilities to carry out sewer repairs. Trans Pennine Trail (Footpath Closure) (Phase 1) Temporary Order 2022
The effect of which will be to introduce a footpath closure on the Trans Pennine Trail from Greenall's Ave to A49 Wilderspool Cswy. The Order will be effective from 22nd August 2022 for 3 weeks, however the works are weather dependent so will be in place as & when signed on site. The alternative route will be via Greenall's Ave, Wilderspool Cswy & vice versa. The closure is required to allow for vegetation clearance works in association with the footway/cycleway improvement scheme. Ref: High/2364

Various Roads & Footpaths (40 MPH Speed Limit & Footpath Closures) Temporary Order 2022
The effect of which will be to introduce the following: 40 MPH Speed Limit Restriction: A56 Chester Rd from its jct. with Runcorn Rd to the Borough Boundary with Halton; Footpath Closures - PROW: Hatton Footpath No.1 from its jct. with Warrington Rd to the Borough Boundary with Halton.; Walton Footpath No.3 from its jct. with Chester Rd to the Borough Boundary with Halton; Walton Footpath No.3A from Walton Footpath No.3 to the Borough Boundary with Halton. The Order will be effective from Thursday 4h August 2022 for 5 weeks, as & when signed on site. An alternative route will be signed & available on site. The reason for the temporary restrictions is to facilitate construction works associated with the Creamfields Event 2022. Ref: High/2362

The Order will be effective from 22nd August 2022 for 1 week, as & when signed on site. The alternative route will be via Lock Rd, Whitfield Ave, Terence Ave & vice versa. The closure is required to allow for United Utilities to carry out sewer repairs. Ref: High/2361

Church Ln, Grappenhall (Clearway & One Way) Temporary Order 2022 Notice is hereby given that the Council made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which is to introduce the following: Clearway: Church Ln from Broad Ln to Chester Rd; One Way: To prohibit any Motor Vehicle from proceeding on Church Ln (from Broad Ln to A56 Chester Rd), in any direction other than a northerly direction. The Order will be effective from 1st August 2022 for 4 weeks, as & when signed on site. The alternative route will be via Grappenhall Ln, A50 Cliff Ln, A50 Knutsford Rd, A56 Chester Rd & vice versa. The restrictions are required to allow for footway kerbing & surfacing. Ref: High/2349

Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
