Offa Street, Temporary Road Closure

Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: U80016, Offa Street, Hereford, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U80016, Offa Street, Hereford, junction of St Owens Street. Grid Ref: 351132/239965. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via St Owen Street onto the A438 onto the A49 onto West Street onto East Street and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to gas main works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 15th of August 2022 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 12 days.
