Portfield Street, Temporary Road Closure

Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: U80100, Portfield Street, Hereford, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U80100, Portfield Street, Hereford, at the junction of Clive Street. Grid Ref: 351879/239635. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Clive Street onto Eign Road, onto the A438 Ledbury Road and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to sewer cleansing works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 18th of August 2022 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 1 day.
