The County Of Cumbria (Various Roads, Maryport And Surrounding Area) (Consolidation And Provision Of Traffic Regulations) Order 20><

1. Cumbria County Council hereby give notice that it proposes to make the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (4), 19, 32, 35, 35A, 38, 45, 46, 47, 49, 51, 53 and 64 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The effect of the proposed Order will be to: -

(a) Consolidate the provisions of:-

(i) The County of Cumbria (Various Roads, Maryport and Surrounding Area) (Consolidation & Provision of Traffic Regulations) Order 2018; and

(ii) The County of Cumbria (Various Roads, Maryport and Surrounding Area) (Consolidation & Provision of Traffic Regulations) (Order 2018) Variation (No. 1) Order 2019; into one concise Order; AND

(b) Proposed to introduce the following restrictions:-

(i) "No Waiting at Any Time" restrictions on the following: -

i) Maryport - Ewanrigg Road, Lawson Street (to replace "No Waiting Mon-Sat 8.30 am - 6pm), A594 Ellenborough Road/Ashby Street, High Street, A596 and Gavel Street, Church Street (Park Terrace) & Christian Street (to replace "No Waiting Mon-Fri 8.30 am - 9.30 am and 2.30 pm - 4 pm");

ii) Flimby - Cooperative Terrace, Farmers Way, Lowther Street, Ryehill Crescent, Ryehill Road and School Drive;

iii) Allonby - Wigton Road;

(ii) "Disc Zone 2 - Disc Parking places, waiting limited to 2 hours, return prohibited within 2 hours, resident permit holders exempt from the time limit, 8.30 am - 6.00 pm, Monday to Saturday inclusive" on High Street and Crosby Street, Maryport (to replace " No Waiting At Any Time" restrictions); and

(iii) "Disc Zone 3 - Disc Parking places, waiting limited to 2 hours, return prohibited within 2 hours, resident permit holders exempt from the time limit, 8.30 am - 6.00 pm, Monday to Saturday inclusive" on Eaglesfield Street, Maryport (to replace a redundant police parking bay) and on High Street, Maryport.
