ROYAL BOROUGH OF KINGSTON UPON THAMES
AMENDMENTS TO SCHOOL STREET SCHEMES (REF. TMO-P321)
The Kingston upon Thames (Prescribed Routes) (Amendment No. **) Order 2022


1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames propose to make the above mentioned Order under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985.

2. The general effect of the Order is to:-

a) change the hours of operation to the existing 'Pedestrian and Cyclist Zone' in Buckland Road, Chessington to operate between 8.00 a.m. and 9.00 a.m. and between 2.30 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays (term time only); and

b) add permit identifiers' to the following existing 'Pedestrian and Cyclist Zones' in:-

- Alexandra Road, and Cherrywood Close, Kingston;

- Buckland Road, Chessington; and

- Princes Road, Arthur Road and Borough Road, Kingston.

c) redefine 'blue badge holders' and 'postal packets for existing permanent 'Pedestrian and Cyclist Zones'.

3. Copies of the proposed Orders, of the Council's Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order and plans showing the locations and the effects of the proposal may be inspected as follows:-

a) online at https://www.kingston.gov.uk/tmos-open-statutory-consultation ;

b) The Information and Advice Centre, Guildhall 2, Kingston upon Thames, KT1 1EU between 9am and 5pm Mondays to Fridays inclusive

c) Council libraries; and

d) copies of the made Order and plan can also be obtained by calling 020 8547 5000 (between 9am and 5pm Mondays to Fridays); or

e) by emailing TMO@kingston.gov.uk) (please quote ref TMO P321).

4. Persons desiring to object to any of the proposals or make any other representations in respect of them, should send a statement in writing to that effect and, in the case of an objection, stating the grounds thereof to the Council in this matter to either The Director of Communities, Traffic Order Section, Guildhall 2, Kingston upon Thames, Surrey KT1 1EU or email TMO@kingston.gov.uk, quoting reference TMO - P321 by 11th August 2022.
