(Braidholm Road, Merrylee Park Avenue & Adjoining Side Roads Giffnock) Temporary Restriction To Use Of Road Order 2022

On the 15 July 2022 the Council made the above named Order under Section 14 of the RoadTraffic Regulation Act 1984.The Order has been promoted to restrict vehicular access and parking on a section of Braidholm Road, Merrylee Park Avenue and adjoining side roads in Giffnock, in order to facilitate the essential Scottish Water sewer works within or near the road, scheduled to be carried from Monday 1 August 2022 until Friday 26 May 2023.

PHASE 1: Anticipated dates 1 August 2022 to 20 October 2022 Road closures: Braidholm Rd - between property No's 39/40 and its junction with Whitton Dr.
Merrylee Park Ave - between property No 59 and its junction with Braidholm Rd.
Parking prohibition: Merryton Ave - Both sides from its junction with Braidholm Rd for a distance of 30m.
Braidholm Rd - South side of the road, from Property No's 68-76. Whitton Dr - Both sides from its junction with Braidholm Rd for a distance of 65m.
Graffham Ave - Both sides from its junction with Whitton Dr for a distance of 30m.
Braidbar Farm Rd - Both sides from its junction with Braidholm Rd for a distance of 30m.

PHASE 2: Anticipated dates 20 October 2022 to 26 May 2023 Road closures: Braidholm Rd - between property No's 39/40 and its junction with Whitton Dr.
Merrylee Park Ave - between property No 59 and its junction with Braidholm Rd.
Parking prohibition: Merryton Avenue - Both sides from its junction with Braidholm Rd for a distance of 30m.
Braidholm Rd - South side of the road, from Property No's 68-76. Whitton Dr - Both sides from its junction with Braidholm Rd for a distance of 65m.
Graffham Ave - Both sides from its junction with Whitton Dr for a distance of 30m.
Braidbar Farm Rd - Both sides from its junction with Braidholm Rd for a distance of 30m.
Vehicular access to properties within the extents of the closure may be permitted by the contractor on site only when it is possible to do so in conjunction with the works going on at the time.

Access to and from Braidbar Farm Rd will be maintained at all times during both Phases of the works.
Access for emergency vehicles attending an incident will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes: Braidholm Road/ Merrylee Park Avenue - Fenwick Road -
Kilmarnock Road - Merylee Road -Langside Drive - Braidholm Road and
vice versa.
