The A64 Trunk Road (Tadcaster Bar To Brambling Fields) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited has made an Order on the A64 Trunk Road, in the County of North Yorkshire, to enable routine maintenance, cyclic maintenance, survey, bridge structure, carriageway repair and reconstruction, road marking, stud renewal, white lining and electrical works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to start on Monday 25th July 2022 and will take place over a period of 3 months. The works will take place between 8pm and 6am
The effect of the Order will be to close, the A64:
(i) eastbound entry and westbound exit slip roads at Tadcaster Bar;
(ii) eastbound entry and westbound exit slip roads at Towton;
(iii) eastbound exit and westbound entry slip roads at Musley Bank;
(iv) eastbound and westbound entry and exit slip roads at Askham Bryan;
(v) eastbound and westbound entry and exit slip roads at Brambling Fields;
(vi) eastbound and westbound entry and exit slip roads at Bondhill Loop;
(vii) eastbound entry slip road at Grimston;
(viii) eastbound and wetbound entry and exit slip roads at Pickering;
(ix) eastbound exit and westbound entry slip roads at Headley Bar.
During the closures suitably signed alternative routes will be available at all times. Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibitions (which will not apply to emergency services vehicles, traffic officer vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance purposes). Access will be maintained at all times to premises and property which are accessible from, and only from, the A64.
