Temporary Traffic Order - Fishergate To Withdean Project; South Road,
The Drove, Compton Road, Highcroft Villas, And Reigate Road, Brighton

1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when it comes into force will have the following effect:-

In phases, as and when signed:
(a) The Temporary closure of South Road, Brighton, for it's entire length , to through traffic, access will be maintained.

(b) The Temporary closure of The Drove, Brighton, between South Road and Millers Road, to through traffic, access will be maintained.

(c) Whilst works take place on Millers Road it will be necessary to close the following roads at their junction with Millers Road: Compton Road and Reigate Road.

(d) Whilst works take place on Millers Road it will be necessary to close Highcroft Villas to southwest bound traffic, from property no.36 to Millers Road.

2. The Order is necessary to allow installation of new 33kv High Voltage electricity cables.

3. Pedestrian access will be maintained, and a signed diversion route will be in place for vehicular traffic.

4. This Order comes into force on 28th July 2022 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed.
