Tornado Way, Authorising Stopping Up

The Secretary of State gives notice of the proposal to make an Order under section 247 of the above Act to authorise the stopping up of an irregular shaped area of highway bounded by Tornado Way, Morton Park Way, Lingfield Way, Lingfield Close and the unnamed highway as leads of Tornado Way at Darlington in the Borough of Darlington.
If made, the Order would authorise the stopping up only to enable development to be carried out should planning permission be granted by Darlington Borough Council. The Secretary of State gives notice of the draft Order under Section 253 (1) of the Act.

Copies of the draft Order and relevant plan will be available for inspection during normal opening hours at Darlington Borough Council, 13 Horsemarket, Darlington, DL1 5QT in the 28 days commencing on 19 July 2022, and may be obtained, free of charge, from the addresses stated below quoting NATTRAN/NE/S247/5094.

Any person may object to the making of the proposed order by stating their reasons in writing to the Secretary of State at
