LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
(EASBY CRESCENT AND EGLESTON ROAD. SM41 (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2022
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate the replacement of lead water pipes and associated works in Easby Crescent and Egleston Road, SM4; they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the said roads.
2. During the works no person will: -
(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in: -
(i) Easby Crescent, from a point 20 metres south of the southern kerb-line of Egleston Road to a point 20 metres north of the northern kerb-line of Egleston Road;
(ii) Egleston Road, from the western kerb-line of Easby Crescent westward for a distance of 15 metres;
(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the roads or lengths of road specified in sub-paragraphs (a)(i) and (ii) above; or
(c) enter or proceed in the footways adjacent to the roads or lengths of road specified in sub-paragraphs (a)(i) and (ii) above.
3. Any designated parking place situated in the roads or lengths of road specified in sub-paragraphs 2(a)(i) and (ii) above will be suspended for the duration of the works in those roads or lengths of road.
4. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform, a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions in any emergency; or
(d) any person requiring vehicular access to the properties adjacent to roads or lengths of road specified in sub-paragraphs 2(a)(i) and (ii) above, insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
6. Pedestrian access to the properties adjacent to the lengths of footway specified in paragraph 2(c) above will be maintained at all times.
7. Pedestrians affected by the footway closures should proceed using the footway opposite if available or Evesham Road, Furness Road and Middleton Road.
8. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closures should proceed using Evesham Road, Furness Road and Middleton Road.
9. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
10. The Order will come into operation on Monday 18th July 2022 and it is anticipated that the works will take 5 days to complete. However, the Order will remain in force for 6 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTIONS 14(1) (CLIFTON ROAD, SW19) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2022
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate construction and development works at No. 18 Clifton Road, SW19, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in Clifton Road.
2. During the works, no person will cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in Clifton Road, both sides, between the common boundary of Nos. 12 and 18 Clifton Road and the common boundary of Nos. 18 and 20 Clifton Road.
3. Any designated parking place situated in the road or lengths of road specified in paragraph 2 above will be suspended for the duration of the works.
4. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or for the loading or unloading of construction delivery vehicles; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions in any emergency.
6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
7. The Order will come into operation on Friday 15 July 2022 and will remain in force for 12 months.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTIONS 14(1) (BELVEDERE DRIVE, WIMBLEDON HILL ROAD AND WOODSIDE, SW19) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2022
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate public realm improvement works in Belvedere Drive, Wimbledon Hill Road and Woodside, SW19, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict traffic in the said roads and suspend a bus lane in Wimbledon Hill Road.
2. During the works,
(a) no person will cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in:-
(i) Belvedere Drive, from its junction with Wimbledon Hill Road northeastward for a distance of 30 metres;
(ii) Woodside, from its junction with Wimbledon Hill Road northeastward for a distance of 30 metres;
(b) no person will cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the roads or lengths of road specified in sub-paragraphs 2(a)(i) and (ii) above and in Wimbledon Hill Road, between its junction with Belvedere Grove and its junction with Woodside;
(c) no person will enter or proceed in the north-eastern footway of Wimbledon Hill Road, which lies between its junction with Belvedere Grove and its junction with Woodside;
(d) the south-eastbound bus lane on the north-east side of Wimbledon Hill Road, between Belvedere Drive and Woodside will be suspended and vehicular traffic prohibited therein.
3. Any designated parking place situated in: -
(a) the length of Belvedere Drive specified in sub-paragraph 2(a)(i) above will be suspended for the duration of the works in Wimbledon Hill Road;
(b) the length of Woodside specified in sub-paragraph 2(a)(ii) above will be suspended for the duration of the works in that length of road.
4. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
5. The provisions of the Order will apply only during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
6. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure in:-
(a) Belvedere Drive, should proceed via Wimbledon Hill Road, Woodside and St Mary's Road or vice-versa;
(b) Woodside, should proceed via Wimbledon Hill Road, Belvedere Drive and St Mary's Road or vice-versa.
7. Pedestrian traffic affected by the works should use the temporary footway provided or the footway opposite.
8. Nothing in paragraph 2 above will apply to:-
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency; or
(d) so as to prevent vehicular access to premises in or adjacent to the roads or lengths of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a)(i) and (ii) of this Notice, insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
9. The Order will come into operation on Friday 15th July 2022 and remain In force for 12 months. It is anticipated that:-
(a) the Wimbledon Hill Road south-eastbound bus lane will be closed to vehicular traffic until 31 st December 2022;
(b) the Belvedere Drive waiting restriction/parking suspension will apply until 31st December 2022;
(c) the Woodside road closure/waiting restriction/parking suspension will apply from 15th August 2022 until 9th September 2022, and
(d) the Belvedere Drive road closure will apply from 12th September 2022 until 30th September 2022.

DRAFT SOUTH LONDON WASTE PLAN CONSULTATION ON THE MAIN MODIFICATIONS (STATEMENT OF REPRESENTATIONS PROCEDURE)
1. The London Boroughs of Croydon, Kingston, Merton and Sutton are Inviting representations on the Main Modifications to the Draft South London Waste Plan. The Draft Plan sets out the long-term vision, spatial strategy and planning policies for the sustainable management of waste over the next 15 year period for the London Boroughs of Croydon, Kingston, Merton and Sutton. Sutton Council are the administrative project managers on behalf of the above named boroughs.
2. The Draft Plan was submitted for examination by an independent Inspector in January 2021, and public hearings took place in September 2021. The four boroughs have proposed amendments that are considered necessary to make the Plan sound, known as 'Main Modifications'.
3. The consultation will run for seven weeks between Thursday 14 July 2022 and 5pm Friday 2 September 2022. The amendments are set out in a "Main Modifications Schedule." This document, along with a Sustainability Appraisal of the Main Modifications, can be found at

4. The councils are also publishing a list of Additional Modifications but these are factual, minor or inconsequential changes. These Additional Modifications are not part of the consultation, but have been published for completeness.

6. When making a representation:
(a) please clarify which modification number you are commenting on, and
(b) please remember to base your comments on the government's test of soundness:
- Is the modification positively prepared?
- Is the modification justified (based on evidence)?
- Is the modification effective (deliverable)?
- Is the modification consistent with national planning policy?
7. You can also request to be notified of the progress of the Examination, Including the publication of Inspectors recommendations and adoption of the plan.
8. When the consultation closes at 5pm on Friday 2 September 2022, the council will send the representations to the Programme Officer for the Examination.
