DISABLED PERSONS PARKING PLACES - SCHEDULE 223b
The Croydon (Prohibition and Restriction of Stopping. Loading and Waiting) and (Free Parking Places) (Amendment No.H12) Order 20-The Crovdon (On-Street Charoed-For Parking Places) (Amendment No.H13) Order 20-
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council proposes to make the above Traffic Orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and all other enabling powers.
1. The general effect of the Orders would be to:
(a) Designate a new parking place at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons' badge may be left without charge or time limit in the following location.
Bensham Lane, Thornton Heath - Outside No. 229 (replaces one permit/payment partial footway space).
(b) Amend the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders so as to accurately represent the new parking arrangements as they exist on site.
2. A copy of the proposed Orders and all related documents can be inspected between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday inclusive, until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders, by appointment with the Parking Design Team, at Bernard Wetherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CRO 1EA (telephone 020 8726 6000 and ask for Parking Design). Alternatively all related documents or further information can be requested by email to Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk.
3. Persons desiring to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the, Parking Design section, Place Department, 6th Floor, Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CRO 1EA or by emailing Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk quoting the reference: PD/CH/H12 & H13 by 04 August 2022.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT. 1984. SECTION 14 AS AMENDED AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
ARUNDEL ROAD. CROYDON TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate Openreach ducting works, they have made an Order to the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Arundel Road, Croydon.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place Arundel Road will be closed at its junction with Northcote Road.
3. The Order will come into operation on 23 July 2022 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within one day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
4. Whilst the closure is in force the alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Northcote Road, Westbury Road, Sydenham Road and vice versa
5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;
(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;
(b) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

BARDOLPH AVENUE. CROYDON TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate telecoms works, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Bardolph Avenue.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place Bardolph Avenue will be closed between its junctions with Newlands Wood and Fairacres.
3. Whilst the closure is in force the diversion route for traffic will be via Bardolph Avenue, Court Wood Lane, Featherbed Lane, Pixton Way and reversed.
4. The Order will come into operation on 18 July 2022, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed over two days: 18 and 20 July 2022. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.
(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

BRIDLE ROAD AND SHIRLEY WAY. CROYDON TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate sewer cover replacement works by Thames Water, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Bridle Road and Shirley Way.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place:
(a) Bridle Road will be closed northbound at the junction with Shirley Way.
(b) Shirley Way will be closed at its junction with Bridle Road.
3. During the works the diversion routes for traffic will be via Bridle Road, Girton Gardens and Tideswell Road, or via Shirley Way, Tideswell Road, Girton Gardens, Links View Road, Oak Avenue and Bushey Road, as appropriately signed.
4. The Order will come into operation on 18 July 2022 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed within one evening, between 7pm and 11 pm. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.
(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

CRAIGNISH AVENUE. NORBURY TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING
1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate works to carry out a service pipe repair on behalf of Thames Water they have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic movements and parking in Craignish Avenue.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place:
(a) Craignish Avenue will be closed outside No. 13 Craignish Avenue;
(b) Parking will be suspended and waiting restrictions will apply at any time on both sides of the road outside Nos. 10 to 15 Craignish Avenue.
3. During the closure the alternative routes for traffic will be via London Road, St Helens Road, St Helens Crescent, Norbury Crescent, Dunbar Avenue and Craignish Avenue, or via Dunbar Avenue, Ederline Avenue, London Road and Craignish Avenue.
4. The Order will come into operation on 18 July 2022 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed within four days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;
(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

BOSTON ROAD. CROYDON TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND SUSPENSION OF PARKING
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate water service pipe repairs in the carriageway, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic and parking in Boston Road, Croydon.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place:
(a) Boston Road will be closed outside Nos. 12 to 22 Boston Road.
(b) Parking within the closure area will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply "at any time' on both sides of the road.
(c) The north-eastern footway will be closed outside Nos. 14 to 18 Boston Road.
3. During the closure the alternative routes for vehicular traffic will be as detailed below and appropriately signed. Pedestrians will be directed to the opposite footway.
- Via Stanley Road and Wortley Road.
- Via Boston Road, Wortley Road and Stanley Road.
- Via Stanley Road, Stanley Grove and Lynton Road.
4. The Order will come into operation on 29 July 2022, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed within four days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.
(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

CANON'S WALK. CROYDON TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate telecoms ducting works, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Canon's Walk.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place the footway outside No. 1 and the carriageway outside No. 6 Canon's Walk will be closed.
3. Whilst the closure is in force pedestrians will be diverted via a walkway in the carriageway. Access for vehicles will be maintained by Traffic Management Officers on site.
4. The Order will come into operation on 04 August 2022, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed within one day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.
(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

EDERLINE AVENUE. NORBURY TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate works to a water service pipe, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic and parking in Ederline Avenue, Norbury.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place:-
(a) The carriageway and footway of Ederline Avenue will be closed outside No. 14.
(b) Parking will be suspended and temporary waiting restrictions will apply "at any time" outside Nos. 10 to 18 and Nos. 9 to 17 Ederline Avenue.
3. During the closure the alternative routes for vehicular traffic will be as shown below. Pedestrians will be directed to the opposite footway.
- Via London Road, Melrose Avenue, Ardfern Avenue, Ederline Avenue and reversed.
- Via Dunbar Avenue, Craignish Avenue, London Road, Ederline Avenue and reversed
4. The Order will come into operation on 01 August 2022 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within approximately five days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;
(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTIONS 14 AND 15 AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS
EXTENSIONS OF EXISTING TEMPORARY PROHIBITIONS OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC, PARKING & SPEED LIMITS - HIGH STREET, KATHARINE STREET & PARK STREET CROYDON, DINGWALL ROAD & LANSDOWNE ROAD, CROYDON, & LONDON ROAD, CROYDON & THORNTON HEATH
1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that the Secretary of State has issued a direction under Section 15 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to further extend the temporary prohibitions specified in the Schedule to this Notice for six months to allow for the introduction of permanent traffic and parking schemes and mandatory cycle lanes.
2. The Orders were originally introduced for purposes connected to the Covid-19 pandemic to facilitate cycle lanes, cycle/pedestrian shared spaces and commuting. Whilst the said Orders continue in force the restrictions and amendments to parking shown in the Schedules to this Notice will continue for a further six months.
3. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.
(b) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a civil enforcement officer.
(c) a vehicle being used for the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
4. The duration of the Orders, which originally came into operation and were due to expire on the dates shown in the table below, will be extended for six months, as per the new expiry dates specified in column 5 of the table.
