Swindon Borough Council Section 14 - The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Notice Of Traffic Orders For Temporary Road Section 14 - The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Notice Of Traffic Orders For Temporary Road And Footpath Closures And Restrictions

Notice is given that SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL intend to make the following temporary orders: (STR000406, Queens Drive) This Order is being introduced to allow implementation of a pedestrian crossing and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on the A4259 Queens Drive between Windsor Road and Whitbourne Avenue. Traffic to be diverted via A4312 Drakes Way, Oxford Road, White Hart Junction, A419, A4259 Marlborough Road and Queens Drive.

The works may be subject to suspension of the bus lane on Queens Drive between Whitbourne Drive and New College Drive (eastbound) and 20mph speed limit which will be notified in advance if required. The Order will come into force on the 1 August 2022 for 12 months but it is expected the road closure will be implemented late September under overnight or evening hours only as/when required. (STR000144 Wanborough PROW) This Order is being introduced for highway improvement works and will prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along the following footpaths: PROW footpath WA8 to be closed between PROW footpath WA7 and The Marsh - no alternative route available PROW footpath WA22 to be closed between PROW footpath WA8 and the A419 - no alternative route available. PROW footpath WA24 to be closed between PROW footpath WA43 and The Marsh - no alternative route available. PROW footpath WA25 to be closed between PROW footpath WA23 and Wanborough Road - pedestrians to be diverted via PROW footpath WA23, Wanborough Road and PROW WA35.
