The County of Cumbria (Footpath Nos.
124005 and 124006 in the Parish of Midgeholme) (Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians) Order 2022
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable the RSPB to carry out works to construct a bridge and re-meander Stagsike Beck ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along the following lengths of footpath:
1. An approx 1540 metre section of Public Footpath No. 124006 at Howgill in the Parish of Midgeholme from its junction with Footpath No. 124004, extending in an easterly direction to its junction with Footpath No. 124005 at Grid Reference: 360224 558363; and
2. An approx. 45 metre section of Public Footpath No. 124006 at Howgill in the Parish of Midgeholme from Grid Reference: 359509 558696, extending in a north easterly direction to Grid Reference: 359528 558734 and its junction with Bridleway Nos. 115039 and 115009 in the Parish of Farlam; and
3. An approx. 665 metre section of Public Footpath No. 124005 at Howgill in the Parish of Midgeholme, from its junction with Footpath No. 124006 at Grid Reference: 360224 558363, extending in an overall south westerly direction to Grid Reference: 359641 558058.

The Order will come into operation on 1 August 2022 and may continue in force for a period of up to six months from that date as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed, although it is anticipated that it will only be required for 3 months.
