(Arbour Lane, Wickham Bishops) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Arbour Lane, Wickham Bishops in the District of Maldon, from its junction with The Street for a distance of approximately 80m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th August 2022 for 19 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001158192 -Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas main replacement works are undertaken by Cadent. An alternative route is available via The Street, Blacksmiths Lane, Arbour Lane with access only into Arbour Lane and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 21st July 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(St Stephens Road, Cold Norton) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of St Stephens Road, Cold Norton in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 50m west of its junction with Fambridge Road for a distance of approximately 60m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th August 2022 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN01362375 - Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Essex and Suffolk Water. An alternative route is available via St Stephens Road, Fambridge Road, Latchingdon Road and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 21st July 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Chapel Road, Great Totham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Chapel Road, Great Totham in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 60m north east of its junction with Colchester Road for a distance of approximately 90m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 18th July 2022 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411SAWCSPPN3S001 - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cabling works are undertaken by Openreach. An alternative route is available via Chapel Road, Colchester Road, Mill Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 7th July 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Maypole Road/Langford Road/Holloway Road, Maldon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Maypole Road, Maldon in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 1410m south of itsjunction with Captain Woods Road for a distance of approximately 860m in a southerly direction.
2. To temporarily close that length of Langford Road, Maldon in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 50m north east of its junction with Crescent Road for a distance of approximately 70m in an easterly direction.
3. To temporarily close that length of Holloway Road, Maldon in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 350m north west of its junction with Crescent Road for a distance of approximately 60m in a westerly direction.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 25th July 2022 for 42 days, or where stated on a valid permit (ZP012TRI/X238/003 -GAS TRANSPORTATION CO LTD). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas main installation works are undertaken by GAS TRANSPORTATION CO LTD. An alternative route is available via Langford Road, Langford Road Roundabout, Heybridge Approach, Maldon Road, Witham Road, Station Road, Church Road, Blacksmiths Lane, Maypole Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 7th July 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Southminster Road, St. Lawrence/Tillingham Road, Tillingham/Asheldham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Southminster Road, St. Lawrence in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 1230m south of its junction with St Lawrence Hill for a distance of approximately 950m in a southerly then easterly direction.
2. To temporarily close that length of Southminster Road, St. Lawrence in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 740m west of its junction with Reddings Lane for a distance of approximately 520m in a westerly direction.
3. To temporarily close that length of Tillingham Road, Asheldham in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 740m west of its junction with Reddings Lane of its junction with Hall Road for a distance of approximately 130m in a southerly direction.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 28th July 2022 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008PTMS206869C/D/E - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole testing works are undertaken by Openreach. An alternative route is available via Tillingham Road, Southminster Road, Cripplegate, North End, Queenborough Road, High Street, Pantile Hill, Queen Street, Scotts Hill, Burnham Road - B1018, Burnham Road, Steeple Road, Maldon Road, The Street, Bradwell Road, North Street, South Street and vice versa. The Order came into effect on 7th July 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Tollesbury Road, Tollesbury/Tolleshunt D'arcy) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Tollesbury Road, Tollesbury/Tolleshunt D'arcy in the District of Maldon, from the junction with Prentice Hall Lane for a distance of approximately 1170m in a westerly then north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 28th July 2022 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008PTMS316577-A - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole testing works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via South Street, North Street, Chapel Road, Back Road, North Road with access only into West Street, Tollesbury Road and vice versa. The Order came into effect on 7th July 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Various Roads, Maldon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of 30mph Speed Limit) & (Temporary Introduction of Clearway) (Streetworks No.2) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the District of Maldon as detailed in Schedule 1.
2. To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed limit in those lengths of road as detailed in schedule 1.
3. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on those lengths of road as specified in schedules 1 and 2 for the duration of the restrictions in order to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
4. "The Essex County Council (Maldon District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works are scheduled to commence after 7th July 2022, as stated on a valid permit. The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on
. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road. The restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce while superfast installation cabling works are undertaken by Gigaclear Ltd.
