(Church Lane, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Lane, Colchester in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Parsons Hill for a distance of approximately 500m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th August 2022 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2323520 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while sign and bollards works are undertaken by Essex County Council. An alternative route is available via Church Lane, Heath Road, Straight Road, London Road, Lexden Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 21st July 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Cockaynes Lane, Alresford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Cockaynes Lane, Alresford in the District of Tendring, from its junction with St Osyth Road for a distance of approximately 150m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th August 2022 for 20 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP003S50-1862-07 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while excavation works are undertaken by Essex County Council. An alternative route is available via Cockaynes Lane, Station Road, St Osyth Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 21st July 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Earls Colne Road, Great Tey) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Earls Colne Road, Great Tey in the Borough of Colchester, from both of its junctions with Chappel Road for a distance of approximately 1430m in a south westerly then north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th August 2022 for 8 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2328589 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Chappel Road, Swan Street, Chappel Hill, The Street, Colchester Road, Colneford Hill, Lower Holt Street, Tey Road, Earls Colne Road and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 21st July 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Earls Colne Road, Earls Colne in the District of Braintree and Borough of Colchester and Tey Road, Earls Colne in the District of Braintree, from its junction with America Road for a distance of approximately 500m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th August 2022 for 8 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2328743 -Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

The Order will come into effect on 21st July 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(King Stephen Road, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of King Stephen Road, Colchester in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Kimberley Road to its junction with Wimpole Road a distance of approximately 170m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 12th August 2022 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2330966 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council. Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Newbridge Hill, West Bergholt in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 30m south of its junction with Cooks Hall Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th August 2022 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ7011001162378 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Cadent. (Robinson Road, Brightlingsea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Robinson Road, Brightlingsea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Keats Crescent for a distance of approximately 85m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th August 2022 for 13 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231006859 - M Anderson Co Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway surfacing works are undertaken by M Anderson Co Ltd. (School Road, Copford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of School Road, Copford in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 170m south east then south west of its junction with Allendale Drive for a distance of approximately 30m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th August 2022 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03010696858 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via London Road, Western Approach, Warren Lane, Maldon Road and vice versa with access only into School Road and Hardy's Green.
The Order will come into effect on 21st July 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Hythe Quay, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hythe Quay, Colchester in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Hythe Hill to its junction with Maudlyn Road a distance of approximately 60m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 26th July 2022 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03010664926 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Hythe Hill, Hythe Hill Roundabout, Maudlyn Road and vice versa. The Order came into effect on 7th July 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Sturrick Lane/De Vere Estate, Great Bentley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Sturrick Lane, Great Bentley in the District of Tendring, from its junction with De Vere Estate for a distance of approximately 90m in a south easterly direction.
2. To temporarily close that length of De Vere Estate, Great Bentley in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Sturrick Lane for a distance of approximately 55m in a south westerly direction.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 25th July 2022 for 33 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001146740 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent. An alternative route is available via Sturrick Lane, Thorrington Road, De Vere Estate and vice versa. (Various Roads, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Temporary Introduction of 30mph Speed Limit, Temporary
Introduction of Clearway, Temporary Suspension of One Way & Temporary Suspension of Bus Lane) (No.6) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close those lengths of road in the Borough of Colchester as specified in the schedule to this Order. To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed limit in those lengths of road as specified in the schedule. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of road for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force. "The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force. The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 7th July 2022, exact dates will be specified on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.
