The Isle of Wight Council's Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: -

The Isle of Wight Council (Colwell Lane, Totland, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic and Revocation of One-Way Restriction) Order No 1 2022
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0700 hours on Tuesday 26 July 2022 until 1830 hours on Tuesday 30 August 2022, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Colwell Lane, Between its junctions with Silcombe Lane and Colwell Road. The one-way restriction will be revoked along Colwell Lane, between its junctions with Silcombe Lane and Colwell Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure and revocation are required for safety during utility works and to allow access to premises and businesses.

The Isle of Wight Council (Morton Old Road, Brading, Isle of Wight) (Temporary One-Way Restriction) Order No 12022
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Saturday 23 July 2022 until 1900 hours on Sunday 24 July 2022, or when the works has been completed, a one-way restriction will be introduced along Morton Old Road in a northbound direction for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for safety during Festival of Heroes Event at Brading Roman Villa.

The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2022
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following lengths of road, when necessary during the stated dates:
a) Esplanade Link Road/Esplanade from its junction with Queens Road to the end of the surfaced highway 70 metres to the East and 70 metres to the West, from 0600 hours on Friday 29 July 2022 until 1000 hours on Sunday 07 August 2022.
b) The Parade from its junction with Castle Hill to its junction with Watch House Lane (southern end of the Parade) from 1730 hours on Friday 22 July 2022 until 1730 hours on Wednesday 10 August 2022.
c) Union Road/Market Hill from its junction with Terminus Road to its junction with High Street from 0600 hours on Friday 29 July 2022 until 1000 hours on Sunday 07 August 2022.
d) High Street/Bath Road from its junction with Market Hill to its junction with The Parade from 0600 hours on Friday 29 July 2022 until 1000 hours on Sunday 07 August 2022.
e) Castle Hill from its junction with Castle Road to its junction with The Parade from 0600 hours on Friday 29 July 2022 until 1000 hours on Sunday 07 August 2022.
f) Carvel Lane from its junction with Terminus Road to its junction with the High Street, when necessary in the interests of road safety between 1500 hours and 0300 hours on each evening / morning from Friday 29 July 2022 until Sunday 07 August 2022, except for vehicles operating on a registered local bus service.
g) High Street from its junction with Fountain Quay to a point 18 metres south of the junction with Carvel Lane, when necessary in the interests of road safety between 1500 hours and 0300 hours on each evening / morning from Friday 29 July 2022 until Sunday 07 August 2022.
h) Terminus Road from its junction with Carvel Lane to its junction with High Street when necessary in the interests of road safety between 1500 hours and 0300 hours on each evening / morning from Friday 29 July 2022 until Sunday 07 August 2022.

With regard to access to the Parade the following restrictions will also apply:
1)
Vehicular access on to The Parade will only be possible from the Union Road/Market Hill/High Street / Bath Road direction from 1730 hours on Friday 22 July 2022 until 1600 hours on Tuesday 09 August 2022. Emergency service vehicles will have an exemption to access The Parade from Castle Hill if on an emergency call.
2) Vehicles over 3.5 tonnes in weight engaged in the construction and dismantling of the marquees/units on The Parade will be permitted to access The Parade from the Castle Hill direction from 1730 hours on Saturday 23 July 2022 until 0900 hours on Friday 29 July 2022, and from 1700 hours on Saturday 06 August 2022 until 1600 hours on Tuesday 09 August 2022.
3) No Parking will be allowed on The Parade between 0600 hours on Saturday 23 July 2022 and 1600 hours on Tuesday 09 August 2022 except during the period from 0900 hours on Friday 29 July 2022 until 1800 hours on Saturday 06 August 2022 when a restricted number of spaces will be available for disabled drivers.

The following Public Slipway will be closed in the interests of public safety from 0600hours on Saturday 23 July 2022 until 1600 hours on Tuesday 09 August 2022:
(a) The Parade, Cowes, at the south east end, (adjacent to Watch House Lane). The closure and restrictions are required in connection with Cowes Week Festival.

The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary One-Way Restriction of Traffic) Order No 1 2022
No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road other than in the direction indicated:
(a) The Parade/Castle Hill from its junction with Bath Road to its junction with Queens Road (travel in a south-east to north­west direction) from 1730 hours on Saturday 23 July 2022 until 1600 hours on Tuesday 09 August 2022.
The restrictions are in connection with Cowes Week Festival.
All vehicles must comply with the one-way restrictions listed in 1 (a). The route for diverted traffic will be signposted locally.

The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Hackney Carriage Stands) Order No 1 2022
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council gives notice to introduce a temporary hackney carriage stand in the following roads; (a) Birmingham Road on the south-west side, from a point 49 metres south east from the junction of Beckford Road to a point 42.5 metres north west from the junction of Mill Hill Road, from Friday 29 July 2022 until Sunday 07 August 2022,1700 hours to 0300 hours on each evening / night.

The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary No Waiting at Any Time & No Loading At Any Time) Order No 1 2022
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council gives notice that from 1900 hours on Friday 29 July 2022 to 1900 hours on Sunday 07 August 2022; a No Waiting at Any Time & No Loading At Any Time Order will be introduced along the following roads:
(a) Baring Road, Cowes; on the northern side, from its junction with Ward Avenue to its junction with Castle Hill;
(b) Ward Avenue, Cowes on the west side, from its junction with Park Road to its junction with Baring Road;
(c) Park Road, Cowes on the north side from its junction with Parklands Avenue to its junction with Debourne Close.
The restrictions will not apply to Police and Ambulance vehicles and Fire appliances engaged in official duties. The order is required in connection with Cowes Week Festival. The provisions of this Order shall apply only at such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by the placing of the appropriate traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 21 of the Town Police Clause Act 1847, proposes to make the following Orders: -

The Isle of Wight Council (Esplanade, Seaview, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 12022
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 1830 hours until 2300 hours on Saturday 23 July 2022, or when the event is finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Esplanade for its entire length. This order is required in the interests of road safety during the Party on the Prom Event. Alternative routes will be signposted locally.

The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 3 2022
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for a period between 1700 hours and 2130 hours, on Saturday 23 July 2022, or when the event is finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along, starting from,
1) Town Lane for its entire length;
2) South Street between its junctions with St James Street and Prospect Road;
3) Church Litten between its junctions with South Street and Marks and Spencer - Access Road;
4) St James Street between its junctions with South Street and Trafalgar Road;
5) Trafalgar Road for its entire length;
6) Carisbrooke Road between its junctions with Trafalgar Road and High Street;
7) High Street between its junctions with Carisbrooke Road and Quay Street;
8) Sea Street between its junctions with Quay Street and Newport Quay;
9) The Quay for its entire length;
10) St James Street between its junction with Pyle Street and High Street;
11) Pyle Street between junctions with St James Street and Carisbrooke Road. This order is required in the interests of road safety during the Newport Main Carnival Procession and Event.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for a period between 1045 hours and 1400 hours, on Sunday 24 July 2022, or when the event is finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along, starting from,
1) Watergate Road, Newport, for its entire length;
2) Nunnery Lane, Newport for its entire length;
3) Whitcombe Road, Newport, between its junctions with Nunnery Lane and New Road, Gatcombe;
4) New Road, Gatcombe, for its entire length;
5) Main Road, Chillerton, for its entire length;
