Broughton Moor, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic

The County Of Cumbria (C2037 And C2007 Broughton Moor And U2092 Tallentire) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Network Plus to carry out utility works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road:
1. C2037, Broughton Moor from a point approx 238 metres north east of its junction with Church Road, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 97 metres;

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C2037,
the A594, C2001 and Church Road.
Duration: From 4 August 2022 for approx. 5 days (Ref:
AL22-296).
2. C2007, Broughton Moor, from a point approx. 100 metres south of its junction with the C2001, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 116 metres;

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C2007, C2001, Main Road, Calva Brow, Hall Brow, Ramsay Brow, the A66, Caldron Hill, Main Street and Moor Road. Duration: From 8 August 2022 for approx. 3 days (Ref:
AL22-294).
3. U2092, Tallentire from its junction with the U2094, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 81 metres; Alternative Routes:

Southwest Bound Vehicles: via the U2094, C2003, U2093, and the U2092.
Northeast Bound Vehicles: via the U2092, U2093, C2003, U2350
and the U2094.
Duration: From 15 August 2022 for approx. 3 days (Ref: AL22-301)
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
(i) Apply to emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties; and

(ii) Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and

(iii)Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the roads, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the roads; and
(iv)Apply to vehicles being used in connection with the Works. Any queries to the Highways Hotline 0300 303 2992 or email

The Order will come into operation on 4 August 2022 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
