(Leadgate Road, Consett) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022

The Council on 7/7/2022 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on a 30 metre length of Leadgate Road, Consett, outside properties Number 8 to 13 to enable Northumbrian Water sewer repair works to be undertaken. An alternative route will be available to vehicular traffic from the east side of the closure, travel east on Front Street, then south east on B6309 Durham Road, west on A692, the east on Leadgate Road, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence at 8am on 17/7/2022 between the hours of 21.00 and 23.00 and are anticipated to be completed in 1 day. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly. Access will be maintained for emergency services.
