Somerset County Council District of Sedgemoor Parish of Cannington Temporary Closure of Marsh Lane

Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Marsh Lane - 43 metres from the junction with Gurney Street north-eastwards for 40 metres. This Order will enable Wessex Water to cany out Section 81 cover replacement works. The Order becomes effective on 12th July 2022 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 19th July 2022 and last until 20th July 2022 between the hours of 07:00 -15:30 for a total of 2 days. There is no alternative route for this closure. The works promoter will contact residents and businesses directly to discuss access arrangements.
