The Council has made Buckinghamshire Council (Belmont Road, Chesham in the Parish of Chesham CP) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2022 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Belmont Road for approximately 123m. Alternative route: Hivings Hill, Ridgeway Road, Milton Road, Pond Park Road, Bellingdon Road and vice versa. The closure is required whilst drainage improvement works take place commencing on 18th July 2022. The proposed Order will come into operation on 18 July 2022, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

The closure is required whilst Affinity Water repair a valve taking place commencing on 25 July 2022 between 08:00 and 16:00. UNDER ARTICLE 13 OF APPLICATION FOR PLANNING PERMISSION
Proposed development at Picts Lane, Summerleys Road (post code HP27 9TD), Station Road, Station Approach, former Sumitomo Electric Hardmetal Ltd site and at land between Picts Lane and Summerleys Road (referred to as former Whiteleaf Furniture Site and the W.E. Blacks development site), Princes Risborough.
Take notice that Buckinghamshire Council is applying for full planning permission for the Princes Risborough Southern Road Links (PRSRL) scheme, for:
* A two lane, single carriageway link road (approximately 750m in length) between Picts Lane, near the junction with Goodearl Place, to its termination point to the north of the former Sumitomo Electric Hardmetal site, incorporating the existing adopted highway and a new section of highway.
* A new section of highway through the former Whiteleaf Furniture Site and the W.E.Black's development site.
* Demolition of buildings within the former Sumitomo Electric Hardmetal site.
* A connection point for the future Princes Risborough Expansion Area.
* Improvements to existing adopted highway, which includes improvements along Summerleys Road.
* A new signalised junction at Station Approach/Summerleys Road/Station Road.
* Construction of a new underpass (bridge) under the Princes Risborough to Aylesbury railway line to the north of Firs Court.
* A new priority junction to the north of the new underpass.
* A 2.0m footway and 3.5m shared footway cycleway.
* Surface water detention basin and swales.
* Foul and surface water drainage and pumping stations.
* Sections of reinforced embankment and retaining wall structures.
* Pedestrian crossings.
* Landscape mitigation.
* All associated engineering and temporary construction work including site compound and storage areas. The closure is required whilst Swish Fibre installing ducting and chambers for fibre optic works will take place commencing on 24 July 2022. Road will remain closed for the duration of the works.
