The County Of Cumbria (Various Roads In The Carlisle Area) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) (No.3) Order 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Electricity North West to carry out utility works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the lengths of road specified in the attached Schedule. Suitable diversion routes will be indicated on site by the display of relevant traffic signs as and when the temporary closures are in force.

Phased works will not necessarily be done in numerical order. The contractor will ensure that local residents and the general public are informed of which roads are to be closed and when, nearer the time.

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
1. Apply to emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties; and

2. Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and

3. Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the roads, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the roads; and

The Order will come into operation on 25 July 2022 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required for 6 months in total and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 1. U1072 Westlinton - From approx. 25 July 2022 for approx 6 weeks (Ref: CA-22-53)
From its junction with the U1074 extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 1km.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the U1702, C1016 Westlinton, A7 and U1074.

2. U1074 Blackford - From approx. 5 September 2022 for approx. 2 weeks (Ref: CA-22-59)
From its junction with the U1072 extending in an easterly direction for approx. 560m.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the U1074, A7, C1016 Westlinton and U1072.

3. U1070 Todhills - From approx. 19 September 2022 for approx. 4 weeks (Ref: CA-22-60)
From its junction with the C1022 extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 1.2km.
Alternative Route: via the U1072, C1016 Westlinton and C1022.

4. U 1075 Newtown Rockcliffe - From approx. 17 October 2022 for approx. 6 weeks (Ref: CA-22-61) From its junction with the U 1074 extending in a northerly
direction to its junction with the C1016.
Alternative Route: via U 1074, U1072, C1016 Westlinton and A7.

5. C1016 Westlinton - From approx. 28 November 2022 for approx. 4 weeks (Ref: CA-22-62) From its junction with the U1075 extending in an easterly direction to its junction with the A7. Alternative Route: via the A7 and U1075.

6. U1070 Rockcliffe - From approx. 23 November 2022 for approx. 4 weeks (Ref: CA-22-63)

From its junction with the C1022 extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 1km.
Alternative Route: via the C1022, C1015 Harker and C1016
Rockcliffe.
7. C1009 Westlinton - From approx. 09 January 2023 for approx. 2 weeks (Ref: CA-22-64)

From its junction with the A7 extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 320m.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the C1009, and A7.
