Hamilton Road, Temporary Closure

Section 14(1) Of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Hamilton Road, Salisbury; from its junction with Castle Street to its junction with Marlborough Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via Marlborough Road - Wyndham Road - Castle Street and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 11 July 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 until 29 July 2022. B) Wardour Lane (Part), Donhead St Andrew; from its junction with C314 to outside property known as The Corner Cottage. C) C314 (Part), Donhead St Andrew; from its junction with Fortis Hill for a distance of approximately 430m in a north westerly direction to enable BT to carry out maintenance and associated works. Alternative route via C314 (unaffected length) - C61 - A30 - C314 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 11 July 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 5 days. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

(Prohibition And Restriction Of Waiting) Order 2022 (Previously Advertised As 2021)

Notice is hereby given that on 29 June 2022 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 to revoke The County of Wiltshire (Various Roads, Durrington) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) Order 2017 and re-enact it, in part, in the above Order and to remove No Waiting at any time to enable the extension of Zig Zag lines of existing Zebra Crossing on Bulford Road - both sides - from a point 51 metres south of the centreline of its northern junction with Avondown Road for a distance of 9 metres in a southerly direction. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. The Order will come into operation on 11 July 2022.
