(High Street, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Motor Vehicles) (Amendment) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To Introduce a 'Prohibition of motor vehicles except buses, taxis, blue badge holders, solo motorcycles, and access' restriction on the following lengths of road in the City of Colchester for the time periods indicated below: Road Description Restricted Hours





High Street, Colchester From its junction with Head Street to its 7:00am - 7:00pm junction with Museum Street.

While in force, this order will suspend The Essex County Council (High Street, Colchester) (Prohibition of Motor Vehicles) Order 2022 to enable enforcement of the restriction in accordance with the timings listed above. During this time, Essex County Council will arrange for a permanent amendment order to be advertised in order to permanently amend the restriction with the reduced timings.

This order will come into effect on 22nd June 2022 and may continue in force for a maximum of 18 months or until the permanent amendment order has come into operation, whichever is the earlier.

(Footpath 11, Marks Tey, and Copford) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2022 Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section S14(1) and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), and Schedule 1 of The Traffic Orders Procedures Regulations 1996. Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpath 11, Marks Tey, and Copford, in the City of Colchester from its junction with the A12 London Road to its junction with Footpath 12, for a distance of approximately 180 metres.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section S14(1) and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), and Schedule 1 of The Traffic Orders Procedures Regulations 1996. Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpath 11, Marks Tey, and Copford, in the City of Colchester from its junction with the A12 London Road to its junction with Footpath 12, for a distance of approximately 180 metres.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 09 July 2022 to 21 November 2022 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required to allow for repair works to be carried out to renew the ballast and sleepers on the railway track. The Order will come into effect on 08 July 2022 and may continue in force for 6 months, or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Footpath 38, 39 & 46, Myland) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close the following footpaths, Myland in City of Colchester. Footpath 38, from its junction with footpath 46, south for a distance of approximately 215 metres. Footpath 39, from its junction with footpath 38, northwest for a distance of approximately 315 metres and Footpath 46 from a point, approximately 325 metres west of its junction with footpath 45, in a westerly direction for a distance of approximately 110 metres. The closure is scheduled to commence on 15/07/2022 to 13/12/2022 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while the construction of the next phase of the Chesterwell Development comprising of roads, sewers and residential properties is undertaken. The alternative route will be via Footpath 45 plus a temporary alternative route and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 15/07/2022 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Chapel Road/Winstree Road, Stanway) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Chapel Road, Stanway in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with New Farm Road for a distance of approximately 110m in a north westerly direction.



2. To temporarily close that length of Winstree Road, Stanway in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with New Farm Road for a distance of approximately 95m in a southerly direction.



To temporarily introduce a 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction in the above lengths of road for the durations of the clousures only.

"The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force. The works are scheduled to commence on 15th August 2022 for 13 days (with the closures for 3 nights 19:00-06:00) within this period), or where stated on a valid permit (EP20153066949 -Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while installation of zebra crossing works are undertaken by Essex County Council. An alternative route is available via Chapel Road, Villa Road, London Road, Tollgate Roundabout, Tollgate Road, Tollgate West, Church Lane, Warren Lane, Blackberry Road, Winstree Road and vice versa or Chapel Road, Villa Road, London Road, New Farm Road and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 14th July 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Hardys Green, Birch) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hardys Green, Birch in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 190m south west of its junction with Beckingham Hall Road for a distance of approximately 200m in a south westerly then south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 1st August 2022 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (A5001CCESSA1A001137 - County Broadband LTD). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway works are undertaken by County Broadband LTD. An alternative route is available via Maldon Road, Warren Lane, Western Approach, London Road and vice versa with accesss only into School Road and Hardys Green. The Order will come into effect on 14th July 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Weeley Road, Great Bentley) (Temporary Introduction of 30mph Speed Restriction) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed restriction in that length of Weeley Road, Great Bentley in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 740m east of the junction with Heckfords Road for a distance of approximately 345m in a north easterly then south easterly direction. The restriction is scheduled to commence on 1st August 2022 for 31 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231006674 - Taylor Wimpey). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while housing development works are undertaken by Taylor Wimpey. (Wix Road, Beaumont) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Wix Road, Beaumont in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Harwich Road for a distance of approximately 325m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd August 2022 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008OGEA77473034A - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.

(Chitts Hill, West Bergholt) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Chitts Hill, West Bergholt in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Argents Lane for a distance of approximately 170m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 18th July 2022 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008FAA3789S01 - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Argents Lane, Spring Lane, Halstead Road, Halstead Road Roundabout, Chitts Hill and vice versa.

(Colchester Road, Tiptree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Colchester Road, Tiptree in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Messing Road for a distance of approximately 425m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 25th July 2022 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30047616694 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by UK Power Networks. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Little Clacton Road, Clacton on Sea & St Osyth Road/St Osyth Road West & Bovills Way, Little Clacton in the District of Tendring, from the junction with St Johns Road to the junctions with Bovills Roundabout a distance of approximately 2315m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 18th July 2022 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2329397 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
