(Unsworth Street and Unsworth Gardens, Consett) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022

The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on 40 metres of Unsworth Street to the rear of number 4a Palmerston Street to rear number 5 Niallesway, and also a 50 metre length of Unsworth Gardens to the rears of number 1-8, Consett to enable telecom duct repair/renewal works to be undertaken. Alternative route will be available via other local roads in the area. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 25/7/22 and are anticipated to be completed in 5 days. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
