The County Council of Durham (May Street, Durham City) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022

The Council on 1 July 2022 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on a 15 metre length of May Street (Rear), Durham, behind property numbers 1A to 31.to enable Northumbrian Water Limited sewer repair works to be undertaken. Throughout the period of closure, a diversion will be available to vehicular traffic via Front May Street. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence at 8am on 11 July 2022 and are anticipated to be completed in 5 Days. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
