Northumberland County Council Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14(1) B6305 Hencotes Hexham (Temporary Road Closure And One Way System) Order 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to temporary close the highways shown below and to introduce a one way system on the highways shown below in the County of Northumberland.

Road Closure:
B6305 Hencotes from its junction with Beaumont Street heading west for a distance of 400 metres it is expected that the north then the south bound carriageway will only be closed from the 25th July 2022 to 2nd September 2022 however the carriageway will be closed at all times. B6305 Hencotes from its junction with Beaumont Street heading west for a distance of 400 metres it is expected that the road will be closed from the 30th August 2022 to 2nd September 2022 between the hours of 17:00 to midnight. The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the West Road South, Burnland Terrace, Burnland Villas, Leazes Crescent, Quatre Bras, Eilansgate, Haugh Lane, Alemouth Road, A6079 Hexham To Hexham Bypass, Station Road, Priestpopple, Battle Hill. One Way System:
A one-way system will be introduced on the B6305 Hencotes and all the traffic will be required to travel in a westerly direction, from its junction with Beaumont Street heading west for a distance of 400 metres it is expected that the one way system will be in place from the 25th July 2022 to 2nd September 2022, however from the 30th August 2022 to 2nd September 2022 between the hours of 17:00 and midnight the one way system will be suspended. The Order is to be effective from the 25th July 2022 until the 23rd December 2022.

The road closure and the one way system has been requested by Northumberland County Council to allow safe working for footway repairs, civils and drainage works and a new crossing point. DATED this 7th day of July 2022.
