LONDON BOROUGH OF SUTTON
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton propose to make the following Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 19841, as amended -

(a) The Sutton (Charged-For Parking Places) (Amendment No. *) Order 202*; and

(b) The Sutton (Free Parking Places, Loading Places and Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No. *) Order 202*

2. The principal objectives of the proposed Orders are; (a) to introduce disabled bays to provide a parking facility for disabled persons where

a high level of parking makes reasonable means of access difficult, and revoke those parking bays that are no longer required; and (b) to ensure that the Orders match conditions as they exist on site.
3. The general effect of the Orders would be to:-

(a) provide new disabled person's parking places, 6.6 metres in length, in which vehicles displaying a disabled person's badge may park at any time, at the following locations:-

(i) outside Flats 1-8, No. 32-34 Albion Road, Sutton (in place of existing shared use at any time permit/pay and display bay);

(ii) outside Nos. 13-18 Denmark Gardens, Carshalton;

(Hi) outside Nos. 358-364 Green Wrythe Lane, Carshalton (in place of existing uncontrolled footway parking bay, 4 wheels on the footway);
(iv) outside No. 16 Guy Road, Wallington (adjoining existing disabled bay outside No. 18);

(v) outside Nos. 5-8 Lynwood Avenue, Coulsdon;

(vi) outside No. 24 Montpelier Road, Sutton (in place of existing permit holder only bay);

(vii) outside No. 18 Warwick Road, Sutton (in place of existing permit holder only bay);

(viii) outside No. 15 Washington Road, Worcester Park (in place of the existing; uncontrolled footway parking bay, 2 wheels on the footway);

(ix) opposite No. 181 Winchcombe Road, Carshalton (in place of the existing uncontrolled footway parking bay, 2 wheels on the footway); and

(x) adjacent No. 62 Milton Road, Wallington. (positioned on Wordsworth Road, Wallington

(b) revoke existing disabled person's parking places at the following locations:-

(i) outside No. 36 Avro Way, Wallington;

(ii) outside Nos. 47-49 Collingwood Road (converting to a permit holder only bay);

(iii) outside No. 8 Demesne Road, Wallington;

(iv) outside No. 26 Gander Green Lane, Sutton (converting to an unrestricted footway bay, 2 wheels on the footway);

(v) outside No. 24 Guy Road, Wallington;

(vi) outside No. 47 Merrilands Road, Worcester Park;

(vii) outside Nos. 19-20 Melrose Tudor, Garden Close, Wallington;

(viii) outside No. 73 Ruskin Road, Carshalton; and

(ix) outside No. 28 The Chase, Beddington

(c) amend the map-based tiles to the schedule attached to The Sutton (Charged-For Parking Places) Order 2017 and to the Sutton (Free Parking Places, Loading Places and Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) Order 2017 so as to more accurately represent the existing layout to match conditions as they exist on site.

Note: there will be no change to the restrictions as currently marked and signed on-stoeet as a result of this amendment
4. Copies of the proposed Orders, of the Council's Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Orders and plans showing the locations and the effects of the proposals may be inspected at the Council's Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton, Surrey, SM1 1EA. Copies can also be obtained by calling 020 8770 5000.

6. NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of London Borough of Sutton, as part of this proposal, and by the powers conferred under section 15 of the Greater London Council (General Powers) Act 1974 is resolving the following:-

(a) Install lengths of uncontrolled footway parking at the following locations:-

(i) outside No. 26 Gander Green Lane, Sutton see3(b) item (iv) above
(b) removal of an existing length of uncontrolled footway parking at the following locations:-

(i) outside Nos. 358-364 Green Wrythe Lane, Carshalton see 3(a) item (iii) above

(ii) outside No. 15 Washington Road, Worcester Park see 3(a) item (viii) above; and

(iii) opposite No. 181 Winchcombe Road, Carshalton see 3(a) item (ix] above
