South Oxfordshire District Council proposes to implement the hackney carriage fares as set out below: Tariff 1: 06:00 - 22:59 Monday to Saturday

By Distance:

For the first 1760 yds (1609.3 metres) or part thereof: £5.40 For every other 176 yds (161 metres) or part thereof: £0.27 Waiting time for every minute or part thereof: £0.27



Tariff 2: 23:00 - 01:59 Monday to Saturday plus:

(i) Any hiring on a Sunday or on a Bank Holiday (other than those specified elsewhere)



(ii) Any hiring between the hours of 20:00 and 23:59 on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve



By Distance:

For the first 1760 yds (1609.3 metres) or part thereof: £6.70 For every other 176 yds (161 metres) or part thereof: £0.35 Waiting time for every minute or part thereof: £0.35



Tariff 3: 02:00 - 05:59 Monday to Saturday plus any hiring on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day By Distance:

For the first 1760 yds (1609.3 metres) or part thereof: £7.25 For every other 176 yds (161 metres) or part thereof: £0.40 Waiting time for every minute or part thereof: £0.40



Extra Charges

Carrying more than 4 passengers £1.00 per passenger



Soiling of vehicle: £100.00



Any objections, comments or queries about the proposed charges should be sent in writing to

or by post to Licensing, South Oxfordshire District Council, 135 Eastern Avenue, Milton Park, Milton, OX14 4SB by 3 August 2022. A copy of this notice is available for inspection at our office during office

hours until 3 August 2022.

If no objection is made by the date specified above, or if objections so made are withdrawn, the proposed increase shall come into operation on 4 August 2022 or the date of withdrawal of the objection or, if more than one, of the last objection, whichever date is the later. If any objections are made, the Council will consider these objections and if deemed appropriate the fares will come into

force on 1 October 2022.
