Variation of Hackney Carriage Fares

Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section
65 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous
Provisions) Act 1976 that Monmouthshire County
Council propose to vary the existing table of
fares to be paid in respect of the hire of Hackney
Carriages. The proposed fares are set out below;

tariff 1 6am - 7pm (up to 4 passengers)
the fare for - the first 0.5 (half) mile or
part thereof shall be - e4.00
each subsequent 1/12? of a mile or part
thereof shall be - £0.20

Tariff 2 7pm - 6am (up to 4 passengers)
the fare for - the first 0.5 (half) mile or
part thereof shall be - e4.50
each subsequent 1/14? of a mile or part
thereof shall be - e0.20

Tariff 3 6am - 7pm (5-8 passengers)
the fare for - the first 0.5 (half) mile or
part thereof shall be - e4.50
each subsequent 1/12? of a mile or part
thereof shall be - £0.30

Tariff 4 7pm - 6am (5-8 passengers)
the fare for - the first 0.5 (half) mile or
part thereof shall be - £5.00
each subsequent 1/14? of a mile or part
thereof shall be - £0.30

Extras
for hirings on bank and public holidays - one and a half times normal fares for hirings between 6.00 p.m. christmas eve and 6:00am on 2nd january only -double the normal fare plus waiting time - for each period of 1(one) minute or part thereof the charge shall be - £0.40
no additional charge for (luggage, animals etc)
fouling of vehicle - up to a maximum of £100.00

A copy of this notice will be available for inspection without payment at County Hall, The Rhadyr, Usk, NP15 1GA for a period of 14 days from the date of first publication of this notice, between the hours of 09:00am and 05:00pm Monday - Thursday and 09:00am and 4:15pm on Fridays. Objections to these changes should be made in writing to The Licensing Section, Abergavenny Community Education Centre, Old Hereford Road, Abergavenny, NP7 6EL. No later than 5pm on the 20/07/2022. If no objections are received, or if objections made are withdrawn, the variation of fares will commence on the 21 /07/2022.

Tariff 4 7pm - 6am (5-8 teithiwr)
y pris am - y 0.5 (hanner) milltir gyntaf neu ran ohoni fydd - £5.00

y pris am bob 1/14red milltir ddilynol neu ran ohoni fydd - £0.30

Bydd copi o'r hysbysiad hwn ar gael i'w archwilio heb gost yn Neuadd y Sir, Y Rhadyr, Brynbuga, NP15 1GA am gyfnod o 14 diwrnod o ddyddiad cyhoeddi'r hysbysiad hwn am y tro cyntaf, rhwng 9:00am a 5:00pm o ddydd Llun i ddydd lau a 9:00am a 4:15pm ar ddydd Gwener. Dylid gwneud gwrthwynebiadau ysgrifenedig i'r newidiadau hyn i'r Adran Drwyddedu, Canolfan Addysg Gymunedol y Fenni, Hen Heol Henffordd,
Y Fenni, NP7 6EL. Heb fod yn hwyrach na 5pm ar 20/07/2022. Os na dderbynnir unrhyw wrthwynebiadau, neu os caiff gwrthwynebiadau a wneir eu tynnu'n 61, bydd yr amrywiad o ran prisiau yn dechrau ar 21/07/2022.
