Etherley Lane, Temporary Road Closure

(B6282 Etherley Lane, Bishop Auckland) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022

The Council on27/672022 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on an 80metre length of Etherley Lane in the vicinity of Saxon Court between its junctions with Ninefields and Clarence Street, Bishop Auckland to enable hot tub installation works to be undertaken. An alternative route will be available to vehicular traffic from the north eastern side of the closure from Etherley Lane north easterly to Newton Cap then southerly on A689 Princes Street and South Church Road to A688 then south westerly on A688 and turning westerly on St Andrews Road and continuing on Woodhouse Lane to Etherley Lane to the south western side of the closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence at 08.00am on Sunday 3/7/2022 and are anticipated to be completed in 2 to 4 hours. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
