Epping Forest District Council (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2022
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Epping Forest District Council intends under powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to make the Epping Forest District Council (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2022 which provides as follows:
1 The Epping Forest District (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2022 ("the Order") replaces the Epping Forest District (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2021 ("the Original Order").
2 The Original Order is to be revoked.
3 The Order relates to the following Parking Places:
Buckhurst Hill: Queens Road (Lower), Queens Road (Upper), Victoria Road Chigwell: Hainault Road, Chigwell Row. Epping: Cottis Lane, Bakers Lane, Epping Sports Centre, Civic Offices Loughton: Burton Road, the access ways to and from Burton Road car park and the service area on the north-east north-west and south-east sides of the car park, Burton Road South, Church Hill, Clifton Road, The Drive, High Beech Road, Old Station Road (Sainsburys), Oakwood Hill Industrial Estate East, Oakwood Hill Industrial Estate West, Smarts Lane, Traps Hill, Vere Road car parks, The unnamed car park situated on the north-west side of Burton Road at the rear of numbers 28 and 30 The Broadway, Torrington Drive Off-Street parking spaces, Ongar: Bansons Lane, The Pleasance, Sainsburys car park Bansons Lane, Ongar Leisure Centre Roydon: Harlow Road Waltham Abbey: Cornmill, Darby Drive, Quaker Lane.
4 The general effect of the Order is as follows:
a. To vary the provisions of the Epping Forest District Council (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2021 into a new order by making technical changes due to the implementation of The Traffic Management Act 2004 Part 6. The 2022 Order replaces provisions relating The Civil Enforcement of Parking Contraventions (England) General Regulations 2007 and introduces provisions relating to the Civil Enforcement of Road Traffic Contraventions (Approved Devices, Charging Guidelines and General Provisions) (England) Regulations 2022.
b. To introduce into the articles and schedules of the Order definitions for Electric Vehicles, Electric Vehicle Parking Bays and Electric Vehicle Charging. New electric vehicle charging bays will be introduced in the Oakwood Hill Industrial Estate East car park. Any vehicle parked in an electric vehicle parking bay must purchase a parking ticket at the usual car park tariff rates and the vehicle must be charging when it is parked in the bay.
c. To introduce a maximum of 12 Business Permits into the Oakwood Hill Industrial Estate East car park and to introduce a maximum of 30 Business Permits, 60 Resident Permits and 40 Visitor Permits into the Cornmill Car Park

It is intended that the Order shall come into effect on 8th August 2022.
