The Harrow, Waiting and Loading Restrictions

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Harrow proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under Sections 6 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

2. The general effect of the Order would be further to amend the Harrow (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 2014 so that:

a. waiting by vehicles (otherwise than for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle) would be prohibited at any time in the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice;

b. waiting by vehicles (otherwise than for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle) would be prohibited between 8.00a.m. and Midnight, Monday to Sunday in the lengths of road specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice;

3. The restrictions referred to in this Notice would not apply in respect of anything done at the direction of a police constable in uniform or with the permission of a civil enforcement officer or other person authorised by the Council or in certain circumstances, such as the picking up or setting down of passengers, or the carrying out of statutory powers or duties.

4. A copy of the proposed Orders, of a map of the relevant area and of the Council's statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be inspected until the expiration of a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published online at

trafficorders or alternatively at Greenhill Library, Perceval Square, College Road, Harrow, HA1 1GX between 10.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday.

6. Persons desiring to object to any of the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof, to the Head of Traffic, Highways and Asset Management at transportation®

SCHEDULE 1 - Buckingham Road,
the south-west side, between a point 4.5 metres north-west of the party wall of Nos. 144 and 146 Buckingham Road and a point 5.5 metres south-east of that wall; Veldene Way, the northern arm, the northwest side, between the south-west kerb-line and a point 6.3 meters north-east of the north-eastern wall of No. 1 Veldene Way, between a point 6 metres south-west of the south-western wall of No. 17 Veldene Way and a point 13.2 metres south-east of that wall, the south-east side and the south-west side; the southern arm, the northeastern side, between a point 0.9 metres north of the north-western wall and a point 9 metres north-west of the north-western kerb-line of Stiven Crescent, the southwest side, between the south-eastern kerb-line of Veldene Way and a point opposite the north-western wall of No. 19 Veldene Way.
SCHEDULE 2 - Cecil Road, the north-eastern side, between the party wall of Nos. 14 and 16 Cecil Road and the south-eastern boundary of No. 2 Cecil Road.
