(Bakehouse Lane, Gilesgate) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022

The Council on 24 June 2022 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on an 80 metre length of Bakehouse Lane, Gilesgate, to enable USL Group Limited replacement telecom pole works to be undertaken. The alternative route is available for vehicular traffic from the west side of the closure, via Gilesgate and Renny Street, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 5 July 2022 between the hours of 8am and 6pm and are anticipated to be completed in 2 days. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
