(Footpaths No's 1 & 2 Belmont Parish, Kepier Farm, Durham) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2022

The Council on 24/672022 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all pedestrian traffic from proceeding on a 730 metre length of Footpath Number 1 Belmont Parish between Footpath Number 74 Durham Parish and the northern junction with Footpath Number 2 Belmont Parish, and also an 80 metre length of Footpath No 2 that extends northwards from its junction with Footpath No 1, Kepier Farm, Durham to enable private sewer connection works to be undertaken. An alternative route will be available to pedestrian traffic from the southern side of the closure from Footpath 74 turning easterly onto Bridleway Number 19 to the Kepier Training Centre then turning north leading to Footpath Number 2 and north to Footpath Number 1 to the northern side of the closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 6 months. The proposed works are to commence on 4/7/2022 and are anticipated to be completed in 2 weeks. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
