1. (Kidlington and Gosford & Water Eaton) (Speed Limits) Order 20** 2. (A4260 Kidlington) (Bus Lane) (Variation No.*) Order

NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The orders relate to planned improvements works at the A4165 Kidlington Roundabout and the development of adjacent land, with the effect of the orders as follows:

1)New 30mph speed limits at the A4165 Kidlington Roundabout and the roads approaching, replacing
the existing 40mph speed limits in the process: a) A4165 Oxford/Banbury Road - from (and including)
the roundabout southwards to the Oxford City/Gosford
Parish boundary, b)A4260 Oxford Road (Kidlington) - from the roundabout
northwards for 820 metres,
c) A4260 Frieze Way - from the roundabout south-westwards for 251 metres, and

d) C43 Bicester Road (Gosford & Water Eaton) - from Kidlington roundabout to a point 352 metres north-eastwards,

e) Stratfield Brake access road - a) for 34 metres on the entry slip from Frieze Way, and b) for 25 metres on the exit slip to Frieze Way.

2) Introduce new/amend existing Bus Lanes on the following roads in the vicinity of Kidlington Roundabout:
a) C43 Bicester Road (Gosford & Water Eaton) - new bus lane Oxford-bound for a length of 232 metres to the roundabout,

b) A4260 Oxford Road from Kidlington a) reduce the length of the existing nearside Oxford bound buslane by 77 metres (leaving it for left turn traffic) and b) introduce a 54 metre section in the central lane southwards into the roundabout,

c) A4165 Kidlington Roundabout - reduce the existing length of bus lane on the northeast side of the roundabout by 4 metres.

The Oxfordshire County Council (Kidlington & Water Eaton) (Speed Limits) Order 2011, and the Oxfordshire County Council (A4260 Kidlington) (Bus Lane) Order 2006 as amended, will be further amended as appropriate. 3)Additionally, new staggered Signalised crossings will be constructed as follows:
a) C43 Bicester Road - approx. 35 metres northeast of Kidlington roundabout,

b) A4260 Frieze Way - approx. 15 metres southwest of Kidlington roundabout, and

c) A4260 Oxford Road - approx. 10 metres south of Kidlington roundabout.
