Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Oxford, Queen Street/Bonn Square Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 11 July 2022 Coming into force: 18 July 2022 This Order is being introduced because for the relaying of sunken slabs which is anticipated to be completed 26 July 2022.This is a 24 hour road closure. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the whole length of Bonn Square/Queen Street. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for permitted traffic is via Castle Street, Speedwell, St Aldates. The relevant part of the Oxfordshire County Council (City of Oxford) (Central Area) (Traffic Management) (Consolidation) Order 2003 (as amended) prohibiting vehicular entry at Carfax will be temporarily suspended to allow for access to Queen Street. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref. T10415/AC)

Oxford, Iffley Road, Henley Avenue & Rose Hill Prohibition of Through Traffic and Waiting Date of Order: 11 July 2022 Coming into force: 20 July 2022 This Order is being introduced to enable road markings removal and laying new markings for the "Active Travel Quickways Project" which is anticipated to be completed 29 July 2022. Works will operate between 7.30pm and 5.30am. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle waiting, or to wait for the purposes of loading and/or unloading in the whole lengths of Iffley Road, Henley Avenue & Rose Hill -a24 hour prohibition. Iffley Road will also be closed to through traffic from The Plain to Donnington Bridge Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic to the east is via Cowley Road, Between Towns Road and Church Cowley Road to Iffley Road and vice versa; The alternative route for traffic to the west is via Abingdon Road, the town centre through to The Plain and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref. T10494/AC)
