Darlington Borough Council Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic And Clearway) Order 2022
Newton Lane And Whitby Way, Darlington Roundhill Road, Hurworth
Darlington Borough Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce:
1. no stopping at any time (clearway); and
2. the prohibition of the driving of vehicles on the following roads:
NEWTON LANE
From the north side of Whitby Way junction northwards to the south side of Jedburgh Drive junction
To allow traffic calming and road surfacing works. An alternative route will be signed via Whitby Way, Malvern Crescent, Jedburgh Drive and vice versa
WHITBY WAY
From the north side of Branksome Hall Drive junction northwards and westwards to the western boundary of 107 Whitby Way
To allow traffic calming and road surfacing works. An alternative route will be signed via Bylands Way, Eggleston View and vice versa.
ROUNDHILL ROAD
From its junction with The Green northwards to a point 60metres north of Friars Pardon junction
To allow traffic calming works. An alternative route will be signed via The Green, Church View, Church Row, Neasham Road, Hurworth Road, Neasham Road Hurworth Moor and vice versa. Access for residents only when works allow. One road to be affected at a time. The maximum duration of the temporary restrictions under this Order is 18 months commencing from 1st August 2022.
