York, Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Prohibition of Vehicles

Temporary Traffic Restrictions
Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Sections 14(1) & 15(8) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 16" day of June 2022 in respect of the locations numbered (1) & (2). Additionally, an Order was made on the 20* day of June 2022 in respect of the location numbered (3). Furthermore, an Order was made on the 23" day of June 2022 in respect of the locations numbered (4) & (5). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Act in respect of the locations numbered) (6) & (7).
(1) Towthorpe Moor Lane (Continuation). Towthorpe
This Order continues in force The Towthorpe (Towthorpe Moor Lane) (Temporary Traffic Restrictions) (No.2) Order 2022 (original Order) The effect of which is to continue in force the prohibition on vehicles from proceeding in that length of closed road on Towthorpe Moor Lane, Towthorpe between its junctions with the A64 Malton Road and Strensall Road (closed road) during the period commencing at 0601 hours on Friday, 17 June 2022 and ending at 0500hrs on the Thursday, 30 June 2022 (works period) or at the end of the works period whichever is the earlier. It is envisaged that the works will only take place between 1900hrs and 0500hrs each night. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period.
(2) The Old Village. York
This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding, parking and waiting in that length of The Old Village, York between its junction with North Moor Road and a location 15metres north of said junction (closed road) during the period when carriageway maintenance works are being undertaken thereon, commencing at 1601 hrs on Friday, 17 June 2022 and ending at 2359hrs on Saturday, 02 July 2022 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said event can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the event period. This Order continues the temporary road closure Notice which had an end date of 1600hrs on Friday, 17 June 2022.
(3) Eboracum Way (Continuation). York
This Order continues in force The York (Eboracum Way) (Temporary Traffic Restrictions) Order (No 2) 2021 (original Order) The effect of which is to continue in force the prohibition on pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding along that length of footpath on the north eastern side of Eboracum Way, York between the junction with Layerthorpe and a location approximately 100 metres north of said junction (closed footway) during the period commencing at 0001 hours on the Wednesday, 22 June 2022 and ending at 2359hrs on the Saturday, 24 December 2022 (works period) or at the end of the works period whichever is the earlier. An alternative route for diverted pedestrians will be signed during the works period.
(4) Groves Lane Footpath. York
This Order prohibits pedestrians from proceeding and waiting in that length of footpath on Groves Lane, York between its junctions with High Newbiggin Street and Lord Mayors Walk (closed road) during the period when water mains connection works are being undertaken thereon, commencing at 0800hrs on Wednesday, 29 June 2022 and ending at 2000hrs on Thursday, 30 June 2022 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted pedestrians will be signed during the works period.
(5) Holtby Lane. Holtby
This Order prohibits vehicles & pedestrians from proceeding and waiting in that length of road on Holtby Lane, Holtby between its junctions with the A166 Stamford Bridge Road and Rudcarr Lane (closed road) during the period when roadway resurfacing works are being undertaken thereon, commencing at 2000hrs on Thursday, 30 June 2022 and ending at 0600hrs on Wednesday, 06 July 2022 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the works will only take place overnight between 2000hrs and 0600hrs each night. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period.
(6) Moor Lane Level Crossing. Strensall
This Order will prohibit vehicles & pedestrians from proceeding and waiting in that length of road on Strensall No. 2 Level Crossing on Moor Lane, Strensall (closed road) during the period when railway maintenance works are being undertaken thereon, commencing at 2320hrs on Saturday, 02 July 2022 and ending at 0830hrs on Sunday, 03 July 2022 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period.
(7) Lords Moor Lane. Strensall
This Order will prohibit vehicles & pedestrians from proceeding and waiting in that length of road on Lords Moor Lane, Strensall at the railway level crossing (closed road) during the period when railway maintenance works are being undertaken thereon, commencing at 2320hrs on Sunday, 03 July 2022 and ending at 0600hrs on Monday, 04 July 2022 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period.
(8) Askham Lane. York
This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of road on Asknam Lane, York between the roundabout controlled junction with Gale Lane and the roundabout controlled junction with the A1237 (closed road) during the period when roadway resurfacing works are being undertaken thereon, commencing at 1900hrs on Thursday, 07 July 2022 and ending at 2359hrs on Tuesday, 12 July 2022 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the works will only take place between 1900hrs and 2359hrs each night. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period.
The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/restrictions.
