(Footpath Number 24 Bearpark and Footpath Numbers 15 and 41 Witton Gilbert) (Temporary Public Footpath Closure) Order 2022

The Council on 15/6/22 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit restrict all pedestrian traffic from proceeding on a 525 metre length of Footpath number 41 Witton Gilbert Parish extending southwards from Footpath number 17 and a 653 metre length of Footpath number 15 extending southwards from Footpath number 41 and a 522 metre length of Footpath number 24 Bearpark Parish between Footpath 15 Witton Gilbert and Footpath number 1 Bearpark Parish to safeguard pedestrians and to enable remedial works or diversion works to be undertaken to the riverbank and footpath. An alternative route will be available to pedestrian traffic from the northern side of the closure from Footpath 41 westerly and southerly via Footpath numbers 19 and 38 Witton Gilbert and Footpath numbers 21 and 1 Bearpark Parish to the southern side of the closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 6 months. The works are expected to commence on 19/6722 and are anticipated to be completed in 6 months. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
