Burnigill Bank, Temporary Road Closure

(B6300, Burnigill Bank, Browney Lane, Meadowfield) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022

The Council on 17/6/22 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on 2116 metres of B6300, Burnigill Bank, Browney Lane, Meadowfield, from the roundabout near the Honest Lawyer public house, to the junction of Browney Lane and St John's Road to enable Durham County Council carriageway reconstruction works to be undertaken. Alternative route via A167 north, A690 south, B6302 westbound through Cornsay Colliery, B6301 south west through Tow Law, then B6299 east via Stockley Lane, then the A690 north east to Meadowfield. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 27/6/22 from 8am and are anticipated to be completed in 21 weeks. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
