Disabled Bays And Revocation Of Disabled Bays -Various Locations (Tmo - Kingmap0070)

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames made the following Orders on 13 June 2022 under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 19841, as amended -

(a) The Kingston upon Thames (Charged-For Parking Places) (Amendment No. 68) Order 2022; and

(b) The Kingston upon Thames (Free Parking Places, Loading Places and Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No.

68) Order 2022.
2. The principal objectives of the Orders will; (a) introduce disabled bays to provide a parking facility for disabled persons where a high level of parking makes reasonable means of access difficult, and (b) revoke those parking bays that are no longer required;

3. The general effect of the Orders:-

(a) provide new disabled person's parking places, 6.6 metres in length, in which vehicles displaying a disabled person's badge may park at any time, at the following locations:-

(i) outside No. 58 Canbury Avenue, Kingston

(ii) outside No. 14 Dawson Road, Kingston

(iii) outside No. 4 to 6 Park Court, Park Road, New Malden

(iv) outside No. 55 Porchester Road, Kingston

(v) outside No. 6 Vale Road North, Surbiton (2 wheels on the footway)

Please note that the disabled person's parking place proposed on 10 March 2022 in the London Gazette item 3(a) item (i) outside No's 1 and 3 Albury Road, Chessington (2 Wheels on the footway) is subject to further consideration.
(b) revoke existing disabled person's parking places at the following locations

(i) outside No. 116 Tolworth Road, Surbiton

(ii) outside No. 36 Cleveland Road, New Malden

(iii) outside No. 42 Idmiston Square, Worcester Park

4. Copies of the Orders, which will come into force on 20 June 2022 and plans can be inspected as follows:-

(a) online at

5. Persons desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may make application for the purpose to the High Court by 25 July 2022.
